What is it

Free movement, held space

Ecstatic dance is a smokeless, alcohol-free, freeform dance — no steps to learn, no partner required.

The idea

A DJ builds a musical journey over two to three hours — usually starting slow, building to a peak, and landing somewhere quiet again. You move however that music makes you want to move. Nobody is teaching, nobody is watching, and nobody is judging. It's a moving meditation as much as it is a dance.

Your first time

Most people come alone, and that's completely normal — you'll be welcomed, not approached. Arrive whenever the doors open, find a spot on the floor, and let the opening ritual guide you in. You don't need to dance the whole time; resting, stretching, or just sitting with the music is part of it too.

House rules

  • We're a phone-free zone, to keep the energy — and everyone's privacy — intact.
  • No talking on the dance floor; save conversations for the edges of the room.
  • No shoes on the floor, and come in whatever you can move freely in.
  • Alcohol- and drug-free, always.
  • Consent first: check before you dance close to someone.
