FAQ

Questions, answered

Do I need a partner or dance experience?

No. There are no steps to learn and no partner required. Most people come alone and dance on their own — you move however the music makes you want to move.

What should I wear?

Comfortable clothes you can move freely in. Layers help, it gets warm. The floor is barefoot or socks, so leave your shoes at the door.

Is it okay to just watch, or rest during the dance?

Yes. Resting, stretching or sitting with the music is part of the practice too — you never have to dance the whole session.

Can I pay at the door?

Yes, there's always room. Cash or card both work at the door — buying online just skips the queue.

What is the Tribe Pass?

A 10-session pass for €210 (€21 per dance instead of the regular €23), available at the front desk. It's only sold in person, not online.

Is there a student discount?

Yes, 50% off at the door for anyone under 25 with a valid student ID.

Are phones allowed on the dance floor?

We keep the space phone-free to protect everyone's privacy and the energy in the room. We occasionally take promo photos ourselves, but the focus stays on the dance.

Is alcohol served?

No — Ecstatic Dance Amsterdam is alcohol- and drug-free, always.

What if I need to cancel my ticket?

Online tickets are final — no refunds or rescheduling. If your plans change, someone else can usually use your spot; there's always room at the door too.
